TODAY, I went for a walk outside, in my backyard.. and I was walking near the pool. Well, as I passed by, I noticed something in there... so I looked, and there was a squirrel doing the doggie paddle. (Mind you, it was FREEZING COLD) I was shocked at first, then I started thinking about how I'm pretty sure that squirrels DON'T swim.. so I ran in the house and told Dad what I saw, so he came out and helped the little guy out. But the squirrel didn't actually leave, it just stood there after Dad set him down.. and wouldn't leave when I approached.. so anyway because of my big jacket I was actually able to pick him up and keep him warm for a while! He DID scratch me by accident but there was no biting, thank God. I let him go when he was dry.

*ahem*

Proof!:

Wow. Way to save a life. Though I still think that squirrels are stupid. First, they throw themselves in front of cars, and now they jump into pools in the freezing cold.

Well so what if God made them for our amusement! I know this guy named Stevo who runs in front of cars and jumps into pools when it's freezing cold. I'd still save him from drawning.
Although he can keep himself warm. Sick

I don't know what it was. I didn't look.
I'm just assuming it's a boy, considering the predicament it got itself into. Mrgreen

Hehe. I'm sorry. It was. That's like the first comment I've ever made like that one.

ANYWAY, no, I let him go that same day. I was scared that it was going to hurt me though, by climbing and scratching me. The little bugger sure had some claws.

=O tsk tsk, Rachel, I'm ashamed in you!

lol I've been bitten by a squirrel before, not fun but it's not extremely painful at all...no big deal really. But I have no idea about the sharp claws...hmm probably worse!

I agree with shadow squirrels are stupid and have the Iq of a lump of coal. HA HA. If they are hungry enough they will eat themselves. I have seen this happen before, trust me it's not pretty. First it gnaws on it's feet then it's legs then it's arms until it bleeds to death.
